This week - as a slight departure from indie rock - Devendra Banhart's 5th release "Cripple Crow."  Started a major strain of the indie-folk movement - plus, he dated Natalie Portman... check it.

Arctic Monkeys - "Favourite Worst Nightmare"

The sophomore release from Arctic Monkeys in 2007.  Being a firm believer in the fact that sophomore albums are what "make or break" a band - this record clearly made Arctic Monkeys.  I think I had this in my car cd player for over a year straight...  not sure if you all will like it THAT much, but definitely worth a full run through.  

"On Call"

Arguably the song that set them up for their Only By the Night success... venture to say best on the album.

If you've been checking out the blog at all, you may have realized it's sporadic at best.  So, to rectify this mishap, we will start brining you a record of the week every Tuesday!  On Wednesday through Friday we will focus on a track from that album.  Without further ado, we thought we might as well pick a piece of work from all of our collections and one of our main influences.

3 SHOWS THIS WEEK!

Since The Set hasn't been out for about a month - we decided to overload you people with 3 shows in a single week.  Our first is tomorrow night at Cause Spirits and Soundbar with Kansas City's Everyday / Everynight - Doors at 9:30.  Then we play Wednesday at Wild Tymes in Saint Paul with the always seductive Sexy Delicious at 7:30.  Then Thursday we are playing the "Afternoon on the Lake" at Maynard's Bar on Lake Minnetonka.
